The man suspected of murdering Rafael Saturnino da Silva, 32, in Cajazeiras, was arrested this Monday (11) in the rural area of the municipality of Sousa, in the Sertão of Paraíba. He was located at the Mãe d’Água site, where he was hiding in the house of relatives.
According to the Civil Police, upon noticing the arrival of the teams, the suspect tried to hide behind a cabinet, but was found and arrested.
The crime occurred inside a convenience store, following an argument between the victim and the suspect. According to the investigation, the man left the premises, went to his car, returned armed, and shot Rafael at point-blank range, killing him at the scene.
The murder was recorded by a surveillance camera.
After the homicide, the perpetrator fled and abandoned the vehicle. Since then, he had been wanted by the police. The suspect was taken to the police station, where he will undergo a custody hearing and remain at the disposal of the Justice system.
